The Jazz Project - Art Of Jazz Series

 

Join The Jazz Project each month from 4:00-6:30, January through May and September through November for an afternoon of jazz with the region’s finest jazz performers at Majestic Hall on N. Forest (Jan, Feb) BAAY Theater (March, May, Sept, Oct), Church House (1601 Mill Avenue, April) and  WWU Concert Hall (Nov). 

Series sponsors include Boundary Bay Brewery, Dorothy Sherwood, Joyce Busch, Goodman Family Trust, Village Books, Ralf’s Pretzel Bakery, Community Food Co-op, and the Boeing Company. 

For each event, Samson Estates will be pouring a varying selection of our award winning Delilah berry wines, dessert and varietal wines.

This series is still free to members and $17 at the door for non-members, $10 for WWU students with ID or students 18 and under. 

 

The Jazz Project Summer Concert Series at Samson Estates

 

New for 2019, Samson Estates Winery is honored to be hosting the 2019 Jazz Project summer concert series here at our vineyard and event grounds. The series will feature the smooth sounds of many local and promising jazz artists as well as food and beverage courtesy of Samson. We will be updating as the concert events move closer. Summer Concert Series 1 - June 4-6pm

The Jennifer Scott Quartet premiers The Jazz Project’s Second Sunday Summer Jazz Series at Samson Estates Winery.   

Hailing from Vancouver with her husband/bassist Rene Worst, Scott (vocals and piano) will be joined by veteran sideman Jud Sherwood on drums and Josh Cook on tenor saxophone. 

The series continues on July 14 with The Jazz Project’s Bellingham Youth Jazz Band, and August 11 with Portland-based guitarist Christopher Woitach, bassist Jeff Johnson, and Jud Sherwood drums.

Summer Concert Series 2 BYJB - July 14th 4-6pm

The Bellingham Youth Jazz Band plays the second concert of The Jazz Project’s Second Sunday series at Samson Estates Winery.  The winery is located 1/4 mile East off Noon Road between Lynden and Everson, 1861 Van Dyk Rd.

Summer Concert Series 3 - August 11th 4-6pm

Portland-based guitarist, Christopher Woitach rounds out the Second Sunday Jazz Series at Samson Estates Winery.  Joining Woitach are bassist Jeff Johnson and drummer Jud Sherwood.  Show starts at 4:00 pm.
